The web police at Nasdaq are on the lookout, after bringing one cybersquatter case to a close. Last month, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia issued an order directing ownership of the domain names nasdaqeurope.com and nasdaqeurope.net be transferred solely to Nasdaq.

The court order follows a settlement with Deltacross Ltd. in a case against the Isle of Man-based company for infringement of the "Nasdaq" trademark. The order permanently prevents Deltacross and any of its affiliates from registering the "Nasdaq" trademark as part of any web domain name.
