With legislators working on churning out new laws on pensions and related employee benefit matters, plan sponsors need lawyers to help them figure out what's going on. That's why Davis & Harman LLP is adding four senior pension lawyers, with the goal of becoming an employee benefits powerhouse.
Joining the firm in August as partners will be Kent A. Mason, partner at the Washington law firm of Caplin & Drysdale and a senior Treasury Department official on employee benefits matters in the Reagan administration, and Cathy Creech, partner in the Washington office of law firm Miller & Chevalier and previously an attorney adviser in the Treasury Department's office of tax policy in the early 1990s.
