HARRISBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System hired Lehman Brothers Asset Management and Schroder Investment Management North America to run up to $1 billion and $500 million, respectively, in active commodity portfolios, confirmed Evelyn Tatkovski, spokeswoman for the $64.1 billion fund.

The pension fund uses Credit Suisse, Deutsche Asset Management and Wellington Management to manage its $3.3 billion commodities portfolio; the two new managers were added for diversification. The funding source could not be learned by press time. Consultant Wilshire Associates assisted.
