If this were Winston Cup racing, the man would send everyone to the wind tunnel with an eye toward aerodynamic equalization or some such parity-restoring tactic. Alas, this is CART, and there's no reason to assume that parity will reemerge anytime soon. Cristiano da Matta and Newman-Haas Racing are on, like no driver-team combination has been since Ganassi Racing's heyday from 1996 to '99.
