Byline: LARRY EDSALL Ari Vatanen always seems to have a special perspective. For instance, when Peugeot brought the 1981 World Rally and four-time Paris-Dakar champion over to race at Pikes Peak, Vatanen thought the event should be timed for the round trip. That's right, he and fellow Finn and Peugeot teammate Juha Kankkunen wanted to race up and then back down the mountain, a notion that terrified hillclimb veterans, who considered racing uphill to be quite frightening enough, thank you.
