Displayed in concept form at Frankfurt in 1999 and at the Geneva and Paris shows the following year, the re-configurable five-mode subcompact Citroen C3 Pluriel (below) was hailed by some as a rebirth of the venerable and adorable 2CV. That may be a stretch, but the electrically operated fabric sunroof, which inspires such comparisons, is only the beginning of this production car's sense of playful enjoyment.
