What a difference an option made on our test vehicle, a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 4x2. But first let's start at the front of the truck, with the engine. The ``next-generation 4.7-liter Magnum V8,'' as Dodge calls it, is thirsty. We got just over 13 mpg, which included a lot of highway driving.
