Various obituaries for Fiat patriarch Gianni Agnelli are spiced with words such as ``stylish,'' ``dominating'' and ``end of an era.'' The cliches are warranted for the man credited with turning the company into a global powerhouse. Agnelli ruled Fiat for six decades, becoming managing director in 1963 of the company his grandfather founded in 1899.
