Thunder Road The much-anticipated gathering of all five racing Corvette Grand Sports at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance took place as scheduled, but not quite as planned. Massive thunderstorms forced the entire show off the golf course. The five Grand Sports, and honoree Jim Hall's collection of Chaparral race cars, were displayed in the ballroom of the Amelia Island Ritz-Carlton hotel, adjacent to the golf course.
