Byline: MARK VAUGHN Chip Foose is the pen and clay behind some of the most exciting cars of the last decade. He grew up in the Santa Barbara, California, hot rod shop of his dad, the also-famous Sam Foose. So he had something of a head start in the field. He went to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, then worked at Boyd Coddington's shop, the original one, back when Hot Rods by Boyd were on magazine covers around the world.
