Byline: BILL McGUIRE The original Infiniti M45 was introduced in 2002 to mild fanfare then quickly slipped from sight. Based on the Japan-market Cedric/Gloria but with the brilliant 4.5-liter V8 from the Q45 and sporty driver calibrations, it failed to explicate itself. It was hard to know what to make of an elegant, sport, plain, luxury family sedan-glaringly understated yet tastefully overpowered.
