I was very happy with my BMW 530i, but I live in a town that takes its time to plow the streets, so I decided I needed an all-wheel-drive sedan. BMW didn't have one in the 5 Series and I didn't like the handling or reliability record of the Audi A6 4.2. The RL's handling is significantly better than the A6.

It doesn't handle as well as my BMW, but the difference is minor. I enjoy all the high-tech features, especially the Super Handling All-Wheel Drive and XM radio. My biggest gripe is the bad fuel economy, and it needs more low-rpm torque. Alan Goodman, New London, Conn. The RL ...
