Byline: Roger Hart When Land Rover's current generation Range Rover debuted three years ago, it was powered by a 4.4-liter BMW V8. That is because BMW owned Land Rover when the vehicle was first sketched. When the German company sold Land Rover to Ford, BMW agreed to continue to supply engines for the big sport/ute.
But no more. Beginning with the 2006 model, buyers will be able to choose from two different powerplants, similar, but slightly more powerful than the engines in the Range Rover Sport. Like those in the Sport models, the Range Rover units are Jaguar derivatives. ...
