Over 12 months our staff has had plenty to say about horrendous fuel economy and lack of low-end punch. Yet overall impressions of the 1.3-liter Renesis engine's performance remain positive: From the screaming twin-rotor buzz to the manic 9000-rpm redline, Mazda's latest Wankel entertained all who experienced it and spurred more than one interoffice battle for weekend rights to the keys.
