It has been a heartening comeback for the marque that won the first French Grand Prix at Le Mans 99 years ago. On June 26-27, 1906, Hungarian Ferenc Szisz averaged 62.8 to 66.5 mph (sources vary) for the 770- or 780-mile distance in his 13-liter 90-hp Type AK.
