Peter Diamandis, founder of the Ansari X prize that paid $10 million to SpaceShipOne for its historic 2004 orbital flight, unveiled his Rocket Racing League. No kidding: rocket planes racing NASCAR-style at up to 300 mph around a two-mile-long, one-mile-wide and 5000-foot-high "circuit.'' Diamandis sees racing by 2007, with X-Racer planes costing less than $1 million each.
