Cheever returns to cockpit As we anticipated (Competition, Feb. 13), 1998 Indianapolis 500 champion Eddie Cheever announced he will compete at the Speedway in 2006. It will be Cheever's first Indy start since 2002, when he finished fifth. Cheever has not raced an IRL car since the final race of the same season.
