Parsons in hospital Former NASCAR champion Benny Parsons has been readmitted to a Charlotte-area hospital for treatment of lung cancer. The 20-time Nextel Cup winner and 1973 series champion was diagnosed in the spring. He maintained his busy broadcasting schedule for much of last year before missing some races and post-season events in the fall and winter.
