Hamilton leads test McLaren-Mercedes F1 rookie Lewis Hamilton drove at the Valencia circuit in Spain a week after wrecking one of the team's new MP4-22 chassis there and wound up with the fastest lap time over four days of testing. Fernando Alonso, Hamilton's teammate, was fastest on each of the first two days. Ralf Schumacher went fastest in the new Toyota TF107 on one day, and Giancarlo Fisichella and Heikki Kovalainen ran strongly with Renault's new R27.
