Acura hopes more distinctive styling for 2009 will help its flagship RL stand out in a sea of luxury sedans and improve dismal sales figures.
"By the end of the year, you won't mistake an Acura for anything else on the road,'' promised Acura vice president Dick Colliver at the Chicago auto show.
Acura, which sold 6262 RLs in 2007, expects the new model to double sales.
