Lake Zurich official leaving: Lake Zurich public works director Victor Ramirez has been hired as director of engineering and building/city engineer for the city of Crystal Lake. He will oversee all aspects of the engineering and building divisions, including development plan review, giving permits and inspections for development projects, capital improvements, transportation-related projects and consultant studies.
