Jordan's front-office bid has backing from around NBA.(Sports)

If Michael Jordan does take over basketball operations for the Washington Wizards, the top beneficiary figures to be North Carolina point guard Ed Cota. When he played for the Bulls, Jordan often begged general manager Jerry Krause to add North Carolina guys like Walter Davis. One amusing story told in the book "Blood on the Horns" was how not only Jordan, but also Dean Smith, yelled at Krause for having the idiocy to draft Horace Grant instead of UNC's Joe Wolf in 1987.

We all know how that decision turned out. So it only follows that Cota would be the perfect choice for Jordan's first draft pick. Except Washington already traded next year's first-rounder to Golden State for Chris Webber, so Jordan would have to trade for a pick. But that's always possible....
