The week that was MONDAY Northbrook man called hero The Wheeling village board on Monday honors Rob Hillerich as a hero after the Northbrook resident pulled a Wheeling man from a fire in early December. Hillerich, owner of Future Automotive in Wheeling, spotted smoke coming from the Fox Point mobile home park and rushed into the park.
There he spotted Robert Madigan, 68, slumped on the floor of his mobile home, his clothes on fire. Hillerich pulled the man to safety. Madigan is in critical condition at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood with burns.
