The legend is coming home - for a few days anyway. It's nice when someone who achieved so much as an athlete returns to his roots to help young people also learn to enjoy the sports experience. Kevin McKenna, an all-state basketball player at Palatine in the 1970s, is doing just that this summer.
McKenna, a four-year starter and two-time all-conference player for Creighton University who also played in the NBA, is teaming up with current Palatine sophomore coach Matt May for a unique basketball camp. The MBA Game Camp will give young athletes a chance to play games regardless of ability.
