William T. Swanson of Wheeling Funeral services for William T. Swanson, formerly of Chicago, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, at Oehler Funeral Home Chapel, 555 Lee Street, Des Plaines. Born March 12, 1917, in Chicago, he died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Northwest Community Hospital. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery.

Mr. Swanson worked more than 40 years for Rauland Burg, retiring in 1982. William was the husband of Jessie (nee Copland); father of William (Etha) Mokena, Lynn Swanson of Wheeling and Nancy (late Charles) Voelz of Itasca; brother of the late Ruth Mueller of Niles; and grandfather of Eric (Heather) and Laura Voelz. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. For...
