Anixter makes returns to Lucent NAPERVILLE - Anixter International Inc., a distributor of cable and wire for voice and data networks, said it will return equipment in its inventory valued at more than $200 million to Lucent Technologies Inc., Bloomberg News reported Tuesday. Lucent agreed in December to take back equipment from distributors that hadn't been used.

Skokie-based Anixter said it still expects to report earnings of 50 cents to 53 cents a share for the fourth quarter. Telecommunications equipment maker Lucent has operations in Naperville. BorgWarner to take charge LOMBARD - BorgWarner Inc. said Tuesday it will take a one-time restructuring charge of $19.1 million, or 72 cents per share in the fourth quarter.
