Byline: Beth Sneller Daily Herald Staff Writer As a scorekeeper for the Wood Dale/Itasca Basketball Association, Kelly Benhart didn't know saving lives was part of her job description. But when a basketball player collapsed in the middle of a game Saturday, the 17-year-old Itasca youth didn't have time to think.

She just acted. And what she did saved the player's life. Matthew DeLoach of Itasca is in good condition at Loyola University Medical Center after going into cardiac arrest at the Wood Dale Park District building.
