Byline: Aurora Aguilar Daily Herald Staff Writer ***** CORRECTION/date 6-15-2001: To correct a story in some Tuesday editions, 110 pounds of marijuana was uncovered in a drug bust in Elgin. ***** A yearlong investigation by FBI agents ended this week with the arrest of two men who authorities say had more than 100 pounds of marijuana they intended to sell.

Agents arrested 37-year-old Anthony Giannone, 1930 W. Ridge Blvd. in Bartlett, and 35-year-old William Jones, 1111 Huntwick Court in Elgin, at Jones' home Monday night. The bust uncovered 50 kilograms of marijuana in bales. The marijuana has a street value of $139,000, authorities said. Giannone faces charges of attempting to distribute a controlled substance.
