Byline: Gail Todd A few years ago American Airlines published a cookbook featuring its most-requested in-flight recipes. The book is titled "A Taste of Something Special." Inside the front cover, Henry C. Joyce wrote, "Because our customers frequently request recipes so they can prepare their in-flight favorites at home, we asked our executive chefs to adapt a few of the recipes - particularly those offered on our first- and business-class menus." I swore the book would never fly, but it sold out before you could say "Hold the mayo." Apparently, a lot of American Airlines passengers suffer from oxygen deprivation at 35,000 feet.
Not only did they buy the book, they also hoarded it. It has taken me more than four years to get my hands on a copy. In case...
