Byline: Kate Grusich Daily Herald Staff Writer Campus renovations and increased academic opportunities mark a new year at Barat College, thanks to a recent alliance with DePaul University. Barat, an 800-student liberal arts college in Lake Forest, has been renamed Barat College of DePaul University, to honor its partnership with the Chicago-based Catholic Institution.
The alliance gives DePaul a larger presence in Lake County and provides more higher education opportunities at Barat. "We are bringing DePaul into the back yard of students in Lake County, a market where we will have a much stronger presence than before," said Raymond Kennelly, DePaul's associate vice president for enrollment management.
