Mawhorr Daily Herald Business Writer Two local companies sent extra shipments of medical supplies to the East Coast Tuesday in response to apparent terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon that left an untold number of people dead and injured. Libertyville Township-based Abbott Laboratories, which is the second largest supplier to the healthcare industry, loaded up trucks with a variety of equipment such as intravenous tubing, needles and anesthesia and sent them to the company's distribution center in Pennsylvania.
