- Shelley Nizynski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Nizynski of Hoffman Estates, was recently inducted into the Bradley University chapter of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. Nizynski is a communication major at the university in Peoria. Phi Eta Sigma is a national college honor society for freshman students that strives to encourage and reward high scholastic attainment in institutions of higher education.

To be selected for membership, a freshman must have a grade point average of 3.5 or greater. - JoAnna Moe, a student majoring in English and secondary education major at Bradley University, Peoria, was recently inducted into the university's chapter of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society.
