Byline: Anna Marie Kukec Daily Herald Business Writer Even as America began recovering from last week's vicious terrorist attack, another kind of attack - this one finding its way onto the Internet Tuesday - disrupted businesses locally and nationwide and put the FBI into extra overtime to protect an already-skittish nation.
Attorney General John Ashcroft on Tuesday said the FBI and private firms are investigating a new computer virus known as W32/Nimda that has affected possibly tens of thousands of computers. As the program spreads, its activity can slow or shut down Internet service.
