Hub Group lowers third-quarter forecast LOMBARD - Hub Group Inc. said Wednesday it expects to fall short of the third-quarter consensus earnings per share. Not including a receivable writeoff from a Korean steamship line of $4.7 million, or 36 cents per share, the company expects profit of 18 cents to 22 cents per share.

The primary factors driving the earnings downgrade are a general slowdown in the economy and continued weak sales at its HLX Co. subsidiary. Enesco closes factory, cuts jobs in England ITASCA - Enesco European Giftware Group Ltd. said it will close its Shaddon Mill factory in Carlisle, England, at the end of the month, eliminating abut 45 jobs.
