Byline: Bruce Miles Daily Herald Sports Writer There were no announcements Saturday concerning the Cubs' coaching staff, and none is believed to be forthcoming today. It's likely all the remaining coaches will be welcomed back if they desire to return. The Cubs will be in the hunt for a new pitching coach after last week's forced resignation of Oscar Acosta.
Interim pitching coach Rick Kranitz certainly will be a candidate, but watch out for a pair of other names. Former Tampa Bay Devil Rays manager Larry Rothschild is available, and he'll get strong consideration, according to insiders. The 47-year-old Rothschild is a Chicago native who was the pitching coach for the Florida Marlins when they won the World Series in 1997. A report out of Denver says...
