Condell gets new light at entrance.(Neighbor)

Byline: Madhu Krishnamurthy Daily Herald Staff Writer After years of bureaucratic red tape, a traffic signal at the intersection of Condell Drive and Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville has finally been erected. The light was installed two weeks ago and will be activated on Dec. 1 after state officials inspect the signal equipment.

Village officials have been working with the Illinois Department of Transportation and Condell Medical Center for several years to get the signal installed, said village engineer Dennis Kilbane. Hospital officials wanted Condell Drive to be the main entrance to the medical center, "to give them a presence on Milwaukee Avenue, which they don't have," he said.
