Byline: Jon Davis Daily Herald Staff Writer The differences between Republican state Senate candidates Thomas Menzel and Wendell Jones stood in stark, if brief, contrast Friday. Brief because the Republican contenders for the 27th state Senate District were among several Arlington Heights-area candidates in the March 19 primary who spoke during the lunch hour forum at Arlington Trackside.
Stark because, in response to a request for a one-word answer to the question, do you support the Ryan-Daley plan for O'Hare International Airport, Menzel said "yes," while Jones said "Not completely." Or in response to being asked whether a casino will be built in Rosemont within the next three years, Menzel said no, while Jones said the casino could end up anywhere....
