Petty of Palatine, was named to the honor list of Oxford College, the two- year liberal arts division of Emory University in Oxford, Ga., for the 2001 fall semester. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher to be named to the honor list.
- Amy Buenning of Palatine, a freshman at Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington, is one of nine students who were selected to serve as Student Senate officers for the 2002-2003 academic year.
