Byline: John Leusch Daily Herald Sports Writer Jen Brown, who is ready to begin her fourth season as the starting point guard for the Rolling Meadows girls basketball team, will have a little less on her mind this winter. The All-Area guard no longer has to worry about selecting a college.
The 5-foot-8 senior made an oral commitment in mid-July to play Division I basketball at Bradley University in Peoria. The scholarship has been a longtime goal for the talented athlete, who began dribbling a basketball when she was 2 years old. Her father, Dave, was the longtime Meadows boys basketball coach and played three sports at Mason City High School, located about 40 miles south of Peoria.
