The toll authority's $38 million folly It is insane for the toll authority to spend $38 million to pay a firm to go after nonpaying tollway motorists while their toll roads are deteriorating and are in need of repair. What are Director Tom Cuculich and Chairman Art Philip and their board members thinking of? They must have their heads in the sand.
These people at the toll authority and our state legislators should take a closer look to see what the real message is that these thousands of nonpaying motorists are conveying to everyone. They are tired of being double taxed for the privilege of passing over a highway that was paid for many years ago.
