Byline: Joe Aguilar Daily Herald Sports Writer Amy Peters gave up volleyball for this? The Warren senior basketball star is participating in a speed and agility class on Thursday nights. This week a new instructor introduced Peters and her classmates to some rigorous abdominal exercises and had them do lunges with a medicine ball.
"Today I'm real sore," Peters said Friday, "because (the class) is so hard - incredibly hard. But it's so good." Peters figures the class is going to be so worth it, because she plans on playing competitive basketball the next four years. The 6-foot-1 Peters has verbally committed to play basketball for Bradley University in Peoria, where she will continue to muscle up while studying biology. "It's a good fit for me,"...
