Byline: Elisabeth Mistretta Daily Herald Staff Writer For out-of-towners, the most noticeable change in Addison is the fast-growing entertainment corridor, which houses rows of restaurants, Marcus Cinema multiplex and Dave & Buster's restaurant and entertainment complex. For Addison residents, though, change is stirring on their blocks, in their subdivisions and under their roofs.
Assistant Village Manager John Berley said there is no single way to describe the neighborhoods of Addison. He said German immigrants originally settled the village, but by the 1950s Addison saw a wave of Mediterranean area settlers from countries like Italy and Greece.
