Jacobs grad Chamberlain wins doubles title at Whitewater.(Sports)

Byline: Mike Miazga Daily Herald Correspondent Former Jacobs tennis standout Kristin Chamberlain, now playing at Wisconsin-Whitewater, recently teamed up with Racine, Wis., native Mary Steimle to win the third doubles Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship at the Nielsen Tennis Center in Madison.
The Chamberlain-Steimle duo was seeded fourth in the conference tournament. In 8 game pro sets, the Chamberlain-Steimle team defeated the fifth-seeded team from UW-Stevens Point (8-1), the No. 1 seed from UW-Eau Claire (8-4) and the No. 2 seed from UW-Oshkosh (8-4) en route to the league crown.
