On the road again: Thank goodness the Illinois Department of Transportation again has the Route 22 bypass project around Lake Zurich on track to begin this summer.
Earlier, an IDOT official unpleasantly shocked village leaders when he said the project - supported by the village and expected to have a big impact on downtown revitalization - had been delayed a year. Under a full-court press by local and state officials, IDOT announced the very next day the project was on for this summer, that it was all a big mistake. Well, regardless of whether it was an honest mistake or a sudden reversal...
