Byline: Shamus Toomey Daily Herald Staff Writer Two Northwest suburban teens were charged with making counterfeit $20 bills Monday after a housekeeper at a Rolling Meadows hotel allegedly stumbled upon their makeshift printing operation. The teens had requested a "Do Not Disturb" sign, but before it arrived, a housekeeper entered the room when the teens were out Saturday.
Seeing two copy machines printing $20 bills, the housekeeper called Rolling Meadows police, according to U.S. Secret Service affidavit filed in federal court. Secret Service agents assigned to investigate counterfeiting arrived and arrested Hessam Balooch, 19, of Hoffman Estates, shortly after midnight Sunday as he entered the room, according to the affidavit.
