The accomplishments of Fox Valley's best and brightest students include: - Steve Ballard, son of Gerry and Jill Ballard of West Dundee, recently received the Kimberly Clark Scholarship from the department of mechanical and industrial engineering at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Ballard, who will receive a mechanical engineering degree in May 2005, was recognized for outstanding academic work and overall scholarship. He is a 2001 graduate of Harry D. Jacobs High School. - Emily Bloesch of Algonquin was recently honored at the annual spring honors convocation at Millikin University in Decatur. Bloesch, an experimental psychology major, received the Henry F. Gromoll Service Award presented to a junior or senior majoring in behavioral sciences...
