- Jessica Miller, daughter of Marsha and Richard E. Miller Jr., Inverness, has been accepted into the professional veterinary medical program, which leads to the degree of doctor of veterinary medicine, at Colorado State University for the 2003 fall term. Miller is a 1997 graduate of Fremd High School and received her undergraduate degree in biology in 2001 from Boston University in Massachusetts.

- Smruti Bharat Amin of Barrington, a chemistry major at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, received a School of Chemical Sciences Undergraduate Award for the 2002-2003 academic year.
