Erik Anderson lifelong resident of Batavia Private funeral services for Erik Anderson, 85, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Yurs-Peterson-Moss Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, with the Rev. Jeff Fricke officiating. Born Feb. 10, 1918, in Batavia, he died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at Delnor- Community Hospital, Geneva.
Interment will be in West Batavia Cemetery. Erik served in the Navy Construction Battalion during World War II. He was discharged in 1945. After being discharged, he returned home to care for his mother who had failing health. He was in his late twenties when his mother and father had both died.
