Byline: Henry Stuttley Daily Herald Staff Writer For roughly 200 girls, the Doug Bruno basketball camp is different from any other. Before they bounced a basketball, the aspiring players went through basic footwork drills during the camp's opening at Benedictine University in Lisle. "We have to teach you how to make your feet work for you," Bruno told the girls.

The program began Wednesday and will continue through Sunday as instructors teach girls ages 7 to 18 the basics of ball handling, dribbling, proper footwork and offensive drills. Bruno, the DePaul University women's basketball coach, has taught more than 55,000 girls over 24 years.
