Barbara J. Rakoski Funeral services for Barbara J. Rakoski (nee Thorsen), 58, a resident of Joliet, Ill. since 1968, will be held at 10:15 a.m. Monday, at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road (at Essington Road), Joliet. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m., at the Cathedral of St.

Raymond Nonnatus. Born Oct. 19, 1944, in Chicago, she passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, following a courageous battle with cancer. Private family interment will be in Mount Emblem Cemetery. Barbara was a graduate of Bradley University Class of 1966. A former teacher and homemaker, Barbara was a member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus and the Holly Club (decorations and scholarship co-chairperson).
